Google has announced the launch of its new web indexing system, known as Caffeine. According to Google its new web indexing system (Caffeine) will now provide at least 50 % fresher results as compare to its last web indexing system.

“Caffeine provides 50 percent fresher results for web searches than our last index, and it’s the largest collection of web content we’ve offered,” the Google says in a news release on its official blog. Google’s old web indexing system consisted of several layers, the main layer of old web indexing system updates every couple of weeks. In Google’s old web indexing system new content was not added to the Google search index until a layer was refreshed. According to Google this new web indexing system (Caffeine) can add new content directly to the search index.

Caffeine adds new information at a rate of hundreds of thousands of gigabytes per day and takes up almost 100 million gigabytes of storage. Google says that “if this were a pile of paper it would grow three miles taller ever second”. This statement shows that how quickly Caffeine can index webpages. Caffeine is now being used in all Google searches.

The google is planning to introduce Android-based television software in May which will enable the users to access television through internet.The new software, designed to open set-top boxes, TVs and other devices to more content from the internet, is attracting interest from partners that include Sony Corp., Intel Corp. and Logitech International SA, which are expected to offer products that support the software.
Google, of Mountain View, California, is currently planning on sharing some details about the technology with more than 3,000 developers expected to attend its conference in San Francisco on May 19 and 20.

The management of European air travel,which is an intergovernmental body,says up to 17,000 flights canceled on Friday.The plumes have closed some of Europe's busiest airports, including Charles de Gaulle in Paris, London's Heathrow and Schiphol in Amsterdam.

WASHINGTON, April 13 (Reuters) - The president of France President Nicolas Sarkozy has stated on Tuesday that he was quite confident about Brazil buying a total 36 next-generation fighter jets from France. Although this warcraft deal is running out of time, yet he is quite optimistic about the deal going through.

It is believed that Brazil is in the final stages of purchasing 36 Rafale fighter jets worth more than US $4 billion, which are supposed to be assembled in Brazil. If this deal goes through, we may see Brazil finally buying more than 100 aircrafts.

The three jet fighters finalists for the purchase are the Rafale made by Dassault (AVMD.PA), the Gripen NG made by Sweden's Saab (SAABb.ST), and the F-18 made by U.S.-based Boeing Co (BA.N).

On top of all this Brazil's Defense Minister Nelson Jobim has supported the purchase of Rafale Jets from France.

Whatever our ultimate conclusions on the START follow-on treaty, we continue to believe it will be difficult for it to pass the Senate without the fully funded robust nuclear weapons modernisation programme required by section 1251 of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2010, two top Republican Senators, John McCain and John Kyl, said in a statement.Even as the U.S. Administration is getting ready to host the nuclear security summit on April 12 top leaders of the Opposition Republican Party on Friday indicated that they would oppose the New START (Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty) when it comes for ratification in the U.S. Senate.
“While we were initially advised that the only reference to missile defence was in the preamble to the treaty, we now find that there are other references to missile defence, some of which could limit U.S. actions,” they said.

Further, the Russians have unilaterally declared that the article which allows either Russia or the U.S. to withdraw from the treaty is intended to allow Russian withdrawal if it believes new U.S. missile defence capabilities pose a threat to its strategic nuclear forces.

“This has the potential to constrain improvements to U.S. missile defences, if objected to by the Russians,” they said.
