We have seen it numerous times in Hollywood Movies: Scientists using satellites and Telescopes like Hubble spot a HUGE asteroid hurtling towards Earth. In a situation like this, the only hope for life in future is send a team to blow the monster asteroid with a nuclear bomb.
As it happens in the movies, the movie stars like Ben Affleck ultimately make the mission successful, and blow the asteroid into millions of pieces. Once again our mother Earth is saved from another impending doom.
